Hello, I am a procrastinator! So, if there is no deadline looming at large, I am not going to get to that task anytime soon.
And the book tag from Mitr came without any deadlines:) Can I really be blamed?
I read Maximum city by Suketu mehta a week ago and that got me to this tag now. In my defense, this time procastination alone is not be blamed as I am stealing blog time during a hectic time at both work and personal level. Inspite of the constant chit-chat in real-life, I need this space to have my monologues:)
The tag came from Mitr and I am copying the rules right from her blog.
1. Pick up the nearest book
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence
4. Post the next 3 sentences
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge the person who tagged you
I also took a short cut to make my post wee bit more interesting.
From Page 245 of the book Maximum city by Suketu Mehta.
"
He avers that, contrary to his reputation, he loves India and wants to die for it. " There is no doubt about this. The country in which a man is born, a man does not become a traitor to that land. A man can only give his life for his country. That is a very big medal for him. That is a very big respect. When a man wants to join the military, he doesn't want to go there to play cricket or exercise; he wants to martyr himself."
"
That was Chota Shakeel who works for Dawood Ibrahim, sitting in Karachi and responsible for probably all the bombings in India, talking about what he feels for India.
I am sure, Mitr isn't going to hunt me down for this minor deviation of mine. If I show her the Page#123 of the book to this page, even she will agree, this was the right choice, baby . And she has tagged all of 2 people I know in blogdom. So there, I can tick that one also from the list.
More on the book in my next post.
Thanks for taking upt his tag..have to borrow this book from you to check out the details on the page mentioned ):
