If Raavan was composed by anyone else, would you give a second listening?
oh yes rejected few songs of rahman.like that alli arjuna and taxi taxi movie.label doesnt matter.except blue or black.free
probably not..everything is about expectations. Since you expect that Rahman/Mani combination music will be good, you listen to it. Of course part II of the question whether you will like it or not depends on how good it actually is...
Praveen: - that is exactly the question i have too.Soin: True - i liked taxi taxi song - but wasnt a big fan - when he really craps out - but for the moderate ones.Na_an: "whether you will like it or not depends on how good it actually is" - this is where my fandom has started creeping in, i think. Every one is dissing Raavan album and i seem to have actually started liking it.
Rahman songs always take a while for people to like it, so will have to wait and watch...
IMHO, for most people, Rahman matters. The brand name always does. There was a time, when Ilayaraja had the same effect. And listening to his songs now, I feel different.
uhuh.. I remember commenting on this post.
Na_an: will wait for your feedback:)Shoba: I love illayaraja but i get what you are saying years down the lane the not so good ones will get weeded out.Saya: ? but i dont even have comment moderation for them to get lost!
This new added song in Raavan is much better than the entire album. Download and listen
thanks praveen, just saw this comment - is it the rahman gulzar song's tamil version?
it is the hindi version, the tamil version is called naan varuvene. check raavan promo nite on youtube
very interesting question. the answer to which from me would be, would some other nameless entity compose music album like say a Roja, a Dil Se or even a Raavan?
